Clinics

Clinics are scheduled as two sessions per day, each lasting two hours, with a maximum of 10 riders each session. In addition, there will be a one-hour lecture between the riding sessions. The lecture can be presented on a dry-erase board or as a PowerPoint presentation, if equipment is made available.

Generally, clinic organizers group riders based on fence height (for example, offering a 2’6 class and a 3′ class). Occasionally, there are requests that “flatwork only” be one of the two lessons. In this case, the flatwork can range from the basics to the most advanced flat tests, according to the riders’ abilities and needs.

The clinic fee is $1,000 per day, plus reimbursement for standard expenses, such as airfare and baggage fees when applicable, food, lodging, and car travel at 50 cents per mile.

Note: Airline reservations and ticketing to be provided by the clinic organizer, with flights originating from the Birmingham, AL, airport (BHM). For your convenience, it is acceptable to book a return flight on the morning after the last day of the clinic, provided the flight is scheduled to arrive in Birmingham by 5 p.m.
